Stanislav Matejovsky began his racing career in 1979 when he entered motorsport world of touring cars racing with LADA vehicle proceeding to highclimb racing and start in circuit racing with Lada, VW Golf and Toyota racing cars.

He was forced to interrupt his activity for 2 years due to a serious accident he had while racing at the Most circuit. This braketime was followed by a very successful season 1989 where he won with his Suzuki Swift each race of the Czech Championship in highclimb racing and finally he achieved the title of the Czech Champion in N 1300 category.

In 1990 he except this Czech Championship took part in the European Championship where he belonged among the top drivers. After his starts in Ford Fiesta Cup and 24hour race at Nürburgring came the exchange from touring cars racing to truck racing. He has been representing Liaz truck racing team, in race truck cars for five years. In 1997 he interrupted his career again for the start of his son Michal (at that time already the winner of kart racing of CR) in very demanding English karting Championship McLaren Mercedes "Champions of the Future". For his return in 2000 there was prepared a giant and extremely interesting project: a start in the Super Race Truck class, ETRC.

In the racing season 2000 of the European Truck Racing Cup, Stanislav Matejovsky was driving for a new Smídl Truck Racing Team. In the range of this project a new cooperation of Stanislav Matejovsky and Tatra Koprivnice Car Manufacturer started. The Tatra of Matejovsky, completed with an engine of M.A.N trade mark, did not loose its position in the prime season at all. The driver passed the whole serial and he joined the wider headclass of this category with some of his results.

Stan Matejovsky with his competitive truck TATRA placed himself in European Truck Racing Cup in Super Race Truck B class on the first position and obtained valuable title of European Champion. It was wonderful success for both Truck Racing Team and Tatra brand as well.

Before the opening of FIA European Truck Racing Cup 2002 TATRA a.s. Koprivnice and Truck Racing Team of Stan Matejovsky on the basis of their long co-operation made an agreement about a close partnership. TATRA a.s. decided to establish its own team. The main motivation for establishing purely Czech team was Stan Matejovsky´s success last year. New team is entering FIA European Truck Racing Cup 2002 as TATRA TRUCK RACING TEAM. Competitive truck for 2002 season is called Tatra Jamal Evo III and in comparison to last year version it has got an absolutely new design as well as some new technical details.

The 3 year project in the Super Race Truck Category having been completed, Stanislav Matejovsky has decided to stop his racing carrier for the time being. "His place" will be taken by promising Adam Lacko and Matejovsky will be preparing truck races in the USA. After prolonged negotiations a contract is about to be concluded concerning a race in which both American and European trucs will take part. Another activity in which Mr. Matejovsky is involved is the rebuilding of CSAD SUBSIDIARY in Hradec Kralove into a modern truck center.
